Blank screen of death trying to edit draft posts

    Hi WordPress,

    I have multiple draft posts which was working fine yesterday (31/8/2022), but suddenly today (1/9/2022), I can’t edit the draft posts and it shows up as the blank screen of death. I am able to preview my posts fine, but I just can’t edit the most recent few draft posts.

    Older draft posts and new drafts are not affected. I don’t have any plugins, and no recent changes in my website theme. Please kindly advise how to proceed and troubleshoot the blank screen.

    Hi,

    Yes I’m still experiencing this – and the white screen is spreading to involve more draft posts as well.

    Since I don’t have the business plan, I can’t access plugins to troubleshoot or enable FTP to increase my PHP memory limit!

    If you are able to help troubleshoot from your end, please let me know if you need any additional info to do s.

    We’re having trouble reproducing this issue. Can you share the title of one of the draft posts where this is happening?

    What browser are you using? Does it happen if you try a different browser? Are you using any browser extensions? Can you try disabling them and seeing if that changes things?

    The draft posts titled :
    – pharmacology: summary of anti-HT
    – pharmacology: diuretics
    – anti-arrythmics: amiodarone

    Here are 3 draft post examples but there are more.

    I’m using Safari 15.6, but also tried with cheome and firefox all to no avail. I have a few browser extensions, but nothing new installed since the white screen started occurring.

    If the problem is with selected pages, would it be related to a local computer issue, rather than the whole website? No error detected from your end?

    Thanks for the additional info!

    In the reports we have from other site owners, it seems this is an issue with a specific block (or blocks) but we have not identified the culprit yet.

    Out of curiosity, is there anything specific about those posts that they share in common? Either they have some elements that are unique to those posts, but not present in other posts that you are able to edit successfully? Did you edit those posts to add anything new recently that is the same for all?

    Any clues will be a big help as we investigate, thanks!
