Blank screen when login to wordpress dashboard, errors showing on landing page

Something strange happened on our website…
Suddenly when I try to log in to the website dashboard, I get a blank screen, no dashboard.
Also on the site itself, the following errors keep showing on the bottom of the page…Warning: file_get_contents(): open_basedir restriction in effect. If this is on a WordPress site hosted at another provider, you’ll want to ask in the community forums over on WordPress.org, where that software is made, instead:

I’ve never seen this particular error before, so I’m afraid I don’t know where to even begin looking for an answer. But the users in the WordPress.org forums are the people who make the WordPress software, so they should be able to point you in the right direction.
