Blask Mouse-Over Portfolio titles
-
Hello,
I need help with setting up the Blask-Theme. I wanted my Blog to be more photography oriented, so I chose Blask for displaying my portfolio Images on my Homepage. However in my case (johanngrillenbeck.wordpress.com) it doesn’t work as on the demo page (https://blaskdemo.wordpress.com/). It should show the Portfolio titles when you mouse over the picture, however in my case it shows the portfolio title below it.
How can I fix this?Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards,

Hi, did you follow the instructions in the Blask theme page:
https://wordpress.com/theme/blask
Specifically:
Setting up the Front Page Portfolio
When you first activate Blask on a new site, your homepage will display posts in a traditional blog format. To activate the Portfolio Page Template as shown in the demo, create a new page (which you can give the title of “Home”) and then set it to the Portfolio Page Template.
After you set the Portfolio Page Template, publish your page. Once published, you can set this page to be the front page (homepage) of yours site by visiting your site’s Customizer.
Once you are there, click on the Static Front Page tab, and set your new page as the Front Page of your site, as shown here, then click the Save & Publish button to save your changes.
Let us know if this helps or not, thanks!

Oh and be sure to set a Featured Image for each portfolio page, do that from the Project Settings page from the edit portfolio page to ensure you see an image preview on your portfolio static home page.

Thank you so much. I used the [portfolio] shortcode on my existing homepage, rather than using the Page Template.
