Blask theme – 3 portfolios

Hi, I’m working on a friend’s Blask-themed site and I am having a problem creating 3 separate portfolios.
Firstly, the homepage is a static page with details about the artist. Then I want 3 pages (My Work, People and Places) each using the portfolio template. When a new project is created I want it to be displayed on only one portfolio page. So, for example, the existing project (‘Off the Ground’) should only appear on the My Work page.
I have added Project Types mywork, places, people and assigned the type mywork to the project ‘Off the Ground’ but now I’m stuck as to how to implement it.
Ideally, the permalink for this example would be …/my-work/off-the-ground/ but I am less concerned about the link structure than I am about getting it to work.

OK, after reading more posts on the forum I now know I have to change the links for the menu items My Work, People and Places to
…/project-type/mywork/
…/project-type/people/
…/project-type/places/I have assigned the type mywork to the project ‘Off the Ground’.
However, I cannot change to the link for the My Work menu item. Whenever I try, I get the result:
rather than:
https://beestingsculpture.wordpress.com/project-type/mywork/
Why won’t editing the Permalink work? I think this is the last step to getting this working and I’m frustrated by the problem.

OK, I sorted out the link problem and it’s all working now. Used custom links for the menu.
Can’t find out how to remove my posts now. Sorry.

Support forum posts can’t be deleted by members, and are only done so by staff in cases of possible security risk.
Glad to see that you were able to find a solution to your issue on your own. Nice work!
I notice that the menu item that links your project type archive titled “Work” has the navigation label “My Work,” which is the same as the title of your automatically generated portfolio archive, https://beestingsculpture.wordpress.com/portfolio. There is no link to the portfolio archive in the menu, but Google and others (like me, for example) might find it and perhaps create links to it. You might want to change either the menu item or the portfolio archive title. The latter may be changed at Customize > Portfolio > Portfolio Archive Title.

Thank you for your reply. I have changed the Portfolio Title to My Projects – is that what you mean? Does that mean people won’t find it by accident?

People can still find it. Google and other search engines will likely find it. I just suggested that you might want to change one of those to avoid confusion for visitors, search engines, etc.
