Blask Theme – Help Setting Up, Please!

  “Setting up the Front Page Portfolio

  When you first activate Blask on a new site, your homepage will display posts in a traditional blog format. To activate the Portfolio Page Template as shown in the demo, create a new page (which you can give the title of “Home”) and then set it to the Portfolio Page Template.

  After you set the Portfolio Page Template, publish your page. Once published, you can set this page to be the front page (homepage) of yours site by visiting your site’s Customizer.”

  I want the “home page” to be the Portfolio Page, but I can only set it to a regular page in the “customizer” options. I have the Portfolio Pages in the side bar menu, but I can’t select it as a static page for the “home.”

  Also, the photos I’ve inserted to the Portfolio Page don’t like like the layout as in the Blask sample landing page. They are just one image per row and don’t look like a collage.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

  Hi Tiffany,

  Page template options are available on certain themes, including Blask. The template options for a specific page are available and must be set in the corresponding page editor, not in the customizer. See the Template section of the Page Attributes support page for instructions and an illustration.

  The issue described here, which I can’t observe because your site is marked private, might be resolved when you set the page to the correct page template.

  Hey! Thanks for the info! Do you need to be upgraded from the personal plan to be able to do this? I don’t see this option anywhere..

  No.

  I don’t see this option anywhere..

  Optional page templates aren’t available on every theme. What theme are you using? If the theme you have applied to your site has optional page templates, then you’ll find the relevant information about page templates, and an illustration of the Page Attributes module found in every page editor, at the Template section Page Attributes support page for instructions and an illustration.

  Clarification:
  I didn’t word that last sentence very well. The information in the Template section of the Page Attributes support page is present regardless of whether a chosen theme has optional pages templates. However, it wouldn’t be relevant on themes that don’t have optional templates.
