Blavatar doesn't show up

  Hi all

  I linked in another site to my blog, but my Blavatar doesn’t show up next to my link. When I try linking other wordpress.com blogs, their blavatars do appear.

  I uploaded a blavatar yesterday morning in the Settings > General menu. At the confirmation page, after the ability to crop the file, I see my uploaded image three times (like described in the blavatar support page). But these three images aren’t different in size, but equally big, blurred and squeezed.

  I tried other images (all squares), but the problem persists. Does anyone know what goes wrong?

  Besides, I already deleted my cookies and cache memory.

  How large an image are you uploading? You get the best results when you upload one that isn’t too large. Try 300×300 px as a maximum. 200×200 is better.

  Thanks for your answer. I’d uploaded a file of 1000×1000. I repaced it now with 200×200. As for now, no change visible.

  I uploaded a blavatar to my other blog, kaleidodeutsch.wordpress.com, and it instantly shows up in wordpress.com and on the other site I mentioned (Storify.com). After “crop file”, the three versions of the picture were shown as should be, in three different sizes.

  A new try with the same image on my first blog still doesn’t work. Again, three squeezed, equally big, flat images were shown after the crop process.
