blavatar-favicon?

  I tried to follow different descriptions how to add a blavatar, without result. I tried with png files of different sizes (16, 128 pixels). WordPress seems not to accept my files. Any ideas?

  Hi. For best results, use a 128 x 128 image, JPEG or PNG:

  I think I have read all postings on this forum about blavatars and favicons. The system swallows the picture (128×128 png file), then ask for cropping, then I get the promise that the blavatar will apear soon. When i am back on the General Settings page, the new button “Remove image” is not there. The picture is converted by convert command from ImageMagick. I even tried to change .png to .PNG. I tried other sizes too. No success. Are there any accessible logs which can explain what happens?

  Only staff has access to the logs, as far as I know. If every attempt has failed so far, I suggest you contact staff directly:

  I’m experiencing the same thing, using different PC, different browsers, different images on different blog.

  @biglotteryfund: If you’re experiencing problems in despite of trying everything above, contact staff as I said to webmlz.

  That site yopu have linked to your wordpress.com username is not a free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM so we cannot help you with it. WordPress.COM blogs and wordpress.org installs operate on different code. The correct support forum to get support for that blog is here > http://wordpress.ORG/support

  The site linked to in my profile is not a WordPress site at all.
  The sites I’m having the problem with are definately .com for example http://bigblog.org.uk/

  http://biglotteryfund.wordpress.com resolves to http://bigblog.org.uk/ ?
  That is the site I cannot upload a blavatar to.

  I get the same thing on a different account: http://aniridianetworkuk.wordpress.com or http://aniridia.org.uk/

  I have also written to support.

  Thanks for the guidance link. I’ve followed it all without success.
  Taking time to propogate is one thing but for me the image does not even appear on the Settings > General page when I return to it.
  I’ve not heard anything from Support.
