Blavatar issue

  Blavatar does not load, after cropping.

  Normally, after cropping a blavatar image, it shows in three different sizes and gives the message: ‘Blavatar will start to show around the internet’ (or words to that effect).

  After several attempts, including waiting for several days, it seems there is an issue with my blavatar for this blog. I receive the reassuring message, but the three different sized blavatars never show and don’t start to show after a few hours / days either.

  Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

  The blavatar for your site is now working and your picture is showing up as the favicon.

  @kevmarsden: I’m still not seeing any sign of my blavatar on the site: http://umunthudei.wordpress.com/

  Nb. I have functioning blavatars on all my other 5 blogs, each visible at http://wordpress.com/my-blogs/, whereas the above blog shows only the WP ‘W’ logo.

  I have checked all of the best practices suggested by @timethief and cannot identify any reason for the lack of functionality.

  @jbclements, you’re right there currently isn’t a blavatar on umunthudei.wordpress.com, but I see them on your other sites.

  What type of image file are you uploading? Double check that it’s a jpeg or png file and that it opens properly on your computer.

  After checking the file, try uploading it one more time. If it’s still not working, upload the image to your Media Library and name it “blavatar”. Let me know and then I’ll try to upload it too.

  @kevmarsden: I’ve followed your instruction. I’ve uploaded the file to my media library, (renamed) as redglobe.png (although the actual file url is http://umunthudei.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/academy-world-logo-dark-red.png).
