Blavatar Not Changing

    Hi there,

    I changed my blog avatar or blavatar back in November to a more updated picture, plus I really hate the old one. I noticed only today that the icon never changed, and so I went into my blog settings and seen that the uploaded image was in fact the more updated picture even though that hasn’t showed up. So I removed that picture and reuploaded it, yet the blavatar still hasn’t changed to the picture I want.

    I’m really hoping you have a solution to this problem. Thank you so much!

    Clear your browser’s cache and try again. This might solve your problem.

    Did it work Cara? I’m having a similar problem.

    And I’m hoping there are some clever technical people there…

    I changed my favicon to a little yellow toad , and uploaded it as my Blavatar at 128×128 as a png, and also just to make sure I uploaded the same icon at the correct size with my .org.uk name hosts who I forward from. But for some reason when I favourite it, it just gives me the WordPress “W”.

    I reset everything with name hosts and the toad actually appeared for about 0.1 secs but then went back to the W.

    I think I might have confused the whole thing by mapping the name hull2017diy.org.uk over the top of hull2017diy.wordpress.com.

    Is toady likely to appear if I wait 24 hours?

    I know favicons are only a very very minor detail, but I’m obviously suffering from favicon OCD.
