Blavatar not updating

Add topic to favorites
I’m trying to change the favicon (Blavatar) on my blog, but am having no luck. My current icon is just the yellow/blue, but I’m trying to change it to the new icon here: http://www.riversidepublicutilities.com/images/icons/rpu-icon.png

I did a search on these forums and someone mentioned the favicon can take up to 48 hours to change. Any info on this?

Does the new blavatar show at settings > general in your dashboard?

No, the new avatar is not showing there. It’s still the old one.

Upload the new blavatar again is all I can suggest. Gravatars and blavatars have been finicky for the past few months.

I too am having this problem. Unfortunately WordPress.com support is out until the 19th. Awesome.

Do you get an error of any sort?

What type of image are you trying to upload?

How big is the image – height and width in pixels?

How large is the file size in k or mb or whatever?

There’s no error, it simply says “Settings saved” up top.

I’m trying to upload a png. I’ve also tried uploading a jpg.

The image is 288×288 and 13 KB.

For the sake of argument, I’ve also tried a 16×16 (normal favicon size).

Yeah, I just tried to upload one and it says it uploaded it, but never gave me the chance to crop it.

I don’t know what to tell you.

Yeah, it seems completely broken right now. It seems to have been partially broken for months.

I’ve modlooked this thread and we will see if staff notices or not.

I have the same problem
i tried to upload a new Blavatar but it still not showing
it has been about 3 months :(
