blavatars

I’ve been trying to change my favicon by updating my blavatar. I have removed the previous image, uploaded the new one, have waited for several day, and it still shows the old image. I have even deleted the old image from my media library, but it still appears as my favicon. Any idea what’s going on here?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This seems to be happening frequently lately and I’m sorry I do not have any tips to provide. It seems to happen less often when we choose to use the same image as we use as a gravatar image. Are you using the same one or are you using a different one?

Also as the free hosted WordPress.com blog linked to your username is empty and you did not provide the URL for the blog in question we cannot view it and confirm whether or not we see a blavatar on your site. When posting to these forums it’s always best to provide an active link strating with http:// to the blog in question.

I’m having the same issue. I have updated my Gravatar image but it’s not updating the Favicon image. I would love some consistency.

We Volunteers cannot help with this issue at all. Below are the best practices for successfully uploading your Gravatar, Avatar and/or Blavatar images:(1) Choose an image that does not have any transparency in it and scales both up and down in size without losing definition. Prepare the image prior to uploading it and make sure it’s 512 x 512 pixels or larger so it will look the best in the widest range of uses.
(2) The image filetype has to be either PNG, GIF or JPG. Make sure the file name contains only letters and numbers – no special characters – and make sure all letters are in lowercase.
(3) Also make sure the image file name has an extension (Example – image.jpg)
(4) Note that there is a time delay while your gravatar image propagates. If you are experiencing problems then go to the gravatar site and read the FAQs as it contains common questions and answers to them
