Blaze campaign : Fake Stats?

  • Unknown's avatar

I recently ran a campaign with Blaze, which shows 63 clicks on my ads. However, when I check the analytics for my store, the traffic numbers don’t align with this at all.

For context, I’ve used Google Ads previously and consistently saw accurate reflection of ad clicks in my store analytics, so this discrepancy with Blaze is concerning.

Could someone please look into this? Has anyone else experienced similar issues, or is there something specific to Blaze’s tracking methodology that could be causing these discrepancies? Any advice on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

    Problem already mentionned here: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/promoting-with-blaze-analytics-arent-making-sense

  • Hey there!
Thank you for reporting this! We’re currently looking into this internally and we’ll follow up with you with news as soon as we have them.

In the meantime, if the stats from Google Analytics are more relevant to you, please use them as a reference.

  • I appreciate your patience while we looked into this!

So far, it appears that these are the current causes that could generate this situation:

    • The user closes the tab before the ad renders.
    • The user browser has a tracking blocker. This prevents Jetpack and other analytics tools from tracking page views. The first Google result says 32.8% of users use tracking blockers.

We’re currently looking into this and hope to improve it in the future.

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved, but feel free to reach out to us again if you have questions for us.
