Blinded by Blue links

    I am new to WP and seem to be in the bottom of a bottle that is painted blue and each link clicked is further away from the original info required. After 4 days on this ‘very easy to use ‘ site I am still running in circles probably because the people giving me info are using a different version to the one I have (3.7), if I had any hair left it would have all been pulled out by now.
    Help with all software seems to be the same blue links that vanish into more blue links leading to more blue links into infinity.
