Blingyblog etc contdown s via CSS

Hi All
Anyone know how to add a countdown calendar to your blog at all? they all seem to be in HTML. I have the CSS Editor upgrade.ta
Andjxx -
Can you show us the code? If you can paste it between backticks (the key to the left of the 1 and above the tab key) then we can have a look at it.
The one I just saw looked liked Flash which won’t work on our blogs, but an HTML version should if you’ve found one. Usually you’d just add it to a text widget in Dashboard > Presentation > Widgets to display in your sidebar.

<embed src=”http://www.blingyblob.com/countdown/BlingyCountdown2.swf” flashVars=”MovieOvers=0&TitleOvers=0&BGOvers=0&TextExpiration=Countdown%20complete%21&TextTitle=Brisbane%20Half%20Marathon&GlowColor=16777215&NumsColor=16777215&TextColor=0&BGColor=3381759&Second=0&Minute=0&Hour=0&Day=20&Month=4&Year=2008&” quality=”high” bgcolor=”#ffffff” width=”300″ height=”200″ name=”index_admin” align=”middle” allowScriptAccess=”sameDomain” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer” />
Create yours at BlingyBlob.com!<br> <BLINGYBLOB.COM COUNTDOWN END />~
That is the code – I’m not sure if it is flash or not. Actually looking at the code I think that it might be.
I will see if I can find one that isn’t flash. -
Yes, it’s flash. The best way to tell if something works here is to try it. If it doesn’t work, that’s probably because it contains banned code.
Try Tickerfactory. They have HTML that works here:

ugh. They seem to have changed their site a bit: that is one ugly, ad-riddled mofo of a site. Still, their tickers do work here.
