Blix Won’t Let Me Organize Links into Categories. Any Alternative Suggestions?
-
Hi! In case I didn’t update my profile correctly, my blog is located at http://askfarmerphoebe.wordpress.com
I really like the Blix theme for my blog (colors, how tabs display, column width, headers, banner size). But I can’t get the Links widget to display the Categories and have links line up under their respective categories. Does Blix not allow for that functionality? If not, could any of you be so kind as to recommend a comparable alternative to Blix? Thanks in advance for your help!

I think your blog may violate the TOS → http://wordpress.com/tos/ You have a link on your sidebar that leads to a promotional site for your own product.
Here are some pages for Link Categories → http://support.wordpress.com/links/2/

I’d like to; but if you think that getting your blog suspended is less important than link categories, feel free to keep dismissing beemeister’s remark.

But I don’t think I am violating terms of service. According to Automatic:
“To be clear, people writing book or movie reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their (u)own products(u) on Etsy do NOT fall into [affiliate marketing] category.”
The primary purpose of my blog is NOT to drive traffic to 3rd-party sites. It’s about sharing my love for organic gardening and connecting with other like-minded peeps. While I truly appreciate your concern, I don’t think it’s your place to tell me whether or not I am violating WordPress TOS. If it makes you feel better to report my blog as being in violation, by all means do so and I am happy to take it up with the company that makes my innocuous little blog possible.
With all due respect, I came here asking for help on another matter. If you are unwilling or unable to answer my query I would appreciate it if you would take your sarcastic remarks elsewhere.
Thanks!
