Block an IP address

  Is it possible to block a IP address so this person cant read my blog?

  Blocking IP addresses is not too effective since whenever a modem is rebooted typically the person will get a new IP address, and if they are somewhere else, such as on a wi-fi network away from home they will have a different IP address.

  Add the name they are using, their email address and any website URL they use. Add each on separate lines in the box.

  And they can of course also put in a different username, or email address, or website, so in some instances this may be a running battle. My other suggestion until this person gives up and goes to bother someone else is to turn comment moderation (settings > discussion) on so that if a post from them gets through it doesn’t show up on your blog.
