Block editor.

Having tried your new ‘block editor’ may I request the following; please can you retain the ‘Classic editor’ for posts as an option.
I do not like your new block editor as it is counter intuitive, and like Microsoft word, puts unnecessary code in posts which messes up my formatting. Please by all means leave it as an option, but don’t take the classic editor option away.

Hi billsticker, thanks for the feedback. Our classic editor is retired, but you’ll still have access to a classic block.
Can you let us know specifically what’s going wrong in the posts? If we know what’s happening we can get that to our developers / designers so they can address it.

How do you establish “classic editor” or “classic block editor” at least? I can’t find it. I tried to download a classic editor plugin, but I have to upgrade for that. I can not use the Block Editor. I’m out of patience with it. Please let me know what to do, as I would hate to have to start a new blog elsewhere after all these years.

Hi there,
Having tried your new ‘block editor’ may I request the following; please can you retain the ‘Classic editor’ for posts as an option.
As mentioned, the classic editor is retired, but we recommend the “Classic Block” which is a block you can add to “insert” the classic editor inside of the newer block editor, and has the familiar formatting tools you are used to: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
This is difficult to explain in words, so I recorded a quick video to show you how to find and add the block to your block editor.
