Block Editor

Hello. I’ve always used block editor but I accidentally did something and can no longer use this feature, it shows a blank page. I mainly need it to change the main pic. I’m far from savvy so have no idea what it could be. Thanks

Ok, so just to check, are you entering a page/post to edit and then seeing a blank page?
If yes, this is not an unheard of experience and clearing the cache usually fixes this issue. https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
Also, please note it looks like this is a self-hosted WordPress site, so our support in places may be limited.

Hi Aleon89 thanks for responding. I cleared my cache and it still doesn’t work. The only reason I use block edit is to switch the main pic. If there’s another way please let me know. I’m not sure what hosted by me means either, I’m a work in progress lol

This is the WordPress.com forums and your site is not hosted with us here at WordPress.com, but rather is using the open-source WordPress.org software. Unlike WordPress.com sites, we do not have direct access to WordPress.org sites and therefore are limited in troubleshooting the issue you are seeing. The best bet would be to seek help at the dotorg forums as the community there provides support for self-hosted sites like yours:

Hi thanks for trying to help. I was trying to hit block edit and I was distracted by someone and must’ve hit something near that and that’s all I’ve got. Could also be a sign that maybe I shouldn’t be posting some of the content I am but that’s just me lol. Again thanks for trying to help.
I wish I knew more and will now try and learn more as a friend of mine was helping because I’m not savvy but instead of copy and paste through old posts I’ll just have to learn to do it the right way. -
If you could take a screenshot of what you are currently seeing and post it here, we may be able to point you in the right direction. I’m sure it is a button you might have accidentally pressed something which collapsed the block option.

That’s a link to the editor in your site’s dashboard. As we’re not users on your site, and your site is not hosted on our servers, we can’t access that link.
To share a screen shot here in the forums, you can use a tool like snipboard.io. But ultimately the WordPress.org forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ is the better place to get help with this – the people there are the ones who make the version of WordPress you’re using, so will likely be better able to help you troubleshoot this :)
