I created a free WordPress.com website. But I don’t see the block editor when I edit a page. Do I have to upgrade to a paid plan in order to use the block editor? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

The Block Editor is a way of adding content to your website, it doesn’t require an upgrade before you can use it.

    WordPress Editor

The reason you’re not seeing it could be that you have a different editor on your account, it can be any of the following:

In order to determine the editor you’re using, go to open a post or page – click on the Settings icon (top right) – if you see Document, you’re using the WordPress block Editor, if you see something else then you’re using a different editor.

If you have a different editor and would like to switch to the Block Editor, you can do so by clicking the Learn More button under the “Try the new block editor and level up your layout” option on the right when editing a page or post.

    All the best!

    Hi @mypalcehan,

I took a quick look in our system, and all three of your sites are set to use the Block editor by default.

In addition to the information that @gracema2002 has provided, here is a listing of all the block types that we have here at this time. You can click through and get an idea of what each one of them are for and how to use them.
