Block editor font size too small

I’ve been using the Classic Editor to compose my blog posts, but today I was forced to switch to the block editor. I have no problem with it per se, but the font size in the editor is so small!! I have several sites which use wordpress.org, and there, the font I see in the block editor font is the same one that shows up in the actual post (WYSIWYG); whereas on wordpress.com, the editing screen displays a very small default serif font, but when I select Preview In New Tab, it looks fine (I’m using the Plane theme).
I don’t want to just increase the font size on the editing screen because then it looks too big once it’s been published. I just want the font to look the same on the editing screen AND in the published post, the way it does on wordpress.org sites.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey there, would you mind getting a screenshot of what you see? I checked from this end and your font sizes seem pretty close between the editor and the site.

Also, are you using the classic block? Do you get a different font size if you just start typing without a classic block?

For what it’s worth, the editor does try to pick up your theme style and show that font and what not. So the editor uses a serif font because your theme does, too. But if you turn that feature off (use the three dots in the upper right, then preferences, and toggle “Use Theme Styles” off) the editor font may be larger.

I was going to include a screenshot, but couldn’t see a way to add it!
Toggling “Use Theme Styles” off did help, though.

(I have two WordPress accounts, each associated with different email addresses… that’s why the response I just posted came from a different username.)
