Block Editor / Say it isn't the default…

    Hi there,

    I’ve been blogging in various forms since 2000, the new Block Editor you’ve just enabled as the main one isn’t user friendly. While I can switch back to the classic editor, please say you’re not taking it away….

    … I’m getting increasingly frustrated at online systems taking ‘away’ options, I’m happy with all the options, I don’t need to make it easier/quicker. Just spent twice as long doing a simple post because I couldn’t change 3 lines without going back to the classic.

    Also, why can’t you get the image sizes on the Block editor? Where have all the options gone?

    To restore the Classic Editor, follow the steps under “Will I still be able to use the old editor?” at https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/#frequently-asked-questions

    We do recommend the new editor though, and we have some extensive documentation available at https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/

    why can’t you get the image sizes on the Block editor?

    In the block editor, each block has its own settings, so you’ll change image sizes like this: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/image-block/#resizing-images

    I know you’ll recommend the new one, because you’re making it, but as feedback? As a service I do pay for, I prefer the classic one – hence the hope we get to keep it.

    I know it’s also new and people have to learn it but blocks aren’t great, every update feels like less and less control and not everyone wants that.

    Finally, I’m probably shouting into the wind, from a cliff, during a storm… but, you know, not everything has to be updated all the time.
