Block email from commenting
-
Hi
I have a really malicious person commenting on my posts. It is always the same email address. How can I block this person from commenting on my posts?
Regards
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

First make sure that you have comment moderation turned on at settings > discussion to keep any comments from appearing on your site without you first approving them.
Blocking is very difficult to do since people can change to a different internet connection (IP address) and they can always use a different email address, but you can enter their email address in the comment moderation field at settings > discussion and make sure and “save” your changes.

I also had the same problem with acrazycowblog. I wonder why almost all of the comment came from companies. Do they want to advertise in my blog or what exactly happened, I really do not understand. Help me please… what should I do, I need suggestions.

I have one person sending multiple spam comments every day. Akismet catches it as spam, but how do I block this person and have her/his comments go directly into the trash? She/he always uses the same unusual name and I could block by that, if it’s possible. Thanks.

Comment Blacklist is very similar to the Comment Moderation list, but when something matches here, the comment is marked as spam instead of held for moderation.

As I said, these comments ARE already marked for spam. I want them to go straight in the trash because there are multiple ones every day from the same name. Thanks.

Going directly to Spam is far better than going directly to Trash. It means the comments are detected as spam and being blocked not just on your blog but on all blogs using Akismet.
We have lots of people who complain that the same names/content always shows up in spam and they don’t like it. To them I respond: don’t read your spam.
You can skim it from time to time to make sure nobody’s real comment has gotten caught, but otherwise there’s no reason to look in there.
