Block error

Interesting, would you please try clearing Safari’s cookies and cache? https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-and-website-data-sfri11471/mac
I wonder if perhaps one of them is corrupt or invalid, or if one we need did wind up getting blocked along the way.
This will essentially reset all of that.

I have cleared cache and cookies from both WordPress.com and my DNS headingtonheritage.org.uk and the error is the same and repeatable.
Turn Prevent Cross Site Tracking on, and I get the “invalid block” message, turn it off and it goes away – but I DONT want to be tracked by Google, Facebook et al.
This behaviour has changed.
Thanks

Cleared website data under prefs for wp.com, headingtonheritage.org.uk and WordPress.com and hey presto it worked! Seems wp.com may have been the issue, or there has been a change in the last few hours.
So in summary:
1/ Cross-site tracking off seems to have provoked it
2/ Clearing wp.com seems to have sorted itThanks

We haven’t changed a thing, but sounds like the problem here is that Safari blocks third-party cookies – which would impact how WordPress.com behaves. Turning off the cross-site tracking along with clearing your cache would have refreshed the wp.com login cookie.
It sounds like it’s working for both of you now? Let us know if you still have trouble and we’ll be happy to take a closer look.

It is currently working with Prevent cross site tracking turned on (ie not allowed) which is what I want.
Thanks for all your help, very responsive but a blog page going to one “invalid block” message from many pages is an emotional experience best avoided with no message as to what the issue is! I was successfully logged in.
