Block my own visits

    Hi

    Sorry if this has been asked a hundred times before but I am brand new to WordPress.

    I want to be able to be able to exclude my visits from the Stats on my blog. I only started the blog a few days ago and my visits were being counted before I switched the blog to “private”. I am still tinkering with the set-up so not ready to go “public” but I still would like to have the stats set correctly so when I do visit (you check everything looks good) I will not be counted.

    What do I need to do? Please remember, I know nothing about WordPress at all so detailed description would be appreciated :)

    Views on a public blog when you are logged in are not being recorded.
    Views on a private blog are being recorded.
