Block people (ips) from certain (obscure) countries!

  Hello,

  I’d like to block people from certain (obscure) countries that have no business visiting my blog (keysercouroux.com). Since I’m registred to the free WP version, it possible to do so? If it is,
  what is the exact procedure?

  Sorry, as long as your blog is public you can’t block countries. When a site is Private then only people you invite into your blog – which defeats the whole purpose of your blog

  Maybe one of those useless obscure visitors will want to buy some of your tapes

  Thanks for your reply. But how come there’s plugins available for WP blogs to block people from other countries?

  There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

  There is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.

  Why Worry about a few visitors from countries you might not have heard of? They don’t cost you anything extra. I sort of like it when a new country stumbles into my site.
