block posting system and screen reader issues

Hello,
I’m having an issue with the block editor, where my paragraphs aren’t showing up to the system as individual blocks. I need to be able to insert a ‘read more’ block between two sentences separated by a blank line, but it seems that the two sentences are showing up as part of the same block. I use a screen reader and when I am reading the content of any given block, it shows the entire post, with no spoken indicator of where the block divisions are. This means that I have no way of knowing where the ‘read more’ block is and it has ended up at the bottom of my post, which I only saw after the update was published (the preview button was not working.)
Any ideas as to what could be going on here? suggestions?

Could you please let me know the title of the post where you have this issue? I can see that the posts that are published on your site currently, were created with the Classic Editor.
I can see you have one in Drafts where you switched to the new Block Editor, however, you’re using the Classic Block, which behaves like the Classic Editor itself and so everything is just one long block.

the post itself was reverted to a draft because the read more tag was showing up after the entire article. I can make it public if that helps…

The new Block Editor is not 100% accessibility ready yet, but we’re working on it as a top priority.
Would you like me to switch you back to the Classic Editor?
