i am not asking for customization here. i am asking for default setting.you people should have some rules here,
what is some one made a theme that when you press the bold button it will not make it bold.instead it will Japanese.
this will not be theme issue, it will be your issue making people miss your text editor GUI and make it behave in other way’s. while this button still saying i will do Bold function .
and keep the premium support for such people. who want non-default behaviorthis your site drawing not the theme

@abdorefky – Different themes display block quotes differently. In the case of Ryu, https://wordpress.com/themes/ryu/ the large italics are the blockquotes.
Also, there may not be any correlation between what you see in the Post Editor and how your text displays on the front end unless your theme is one of those who support “Editor Style.” In that feature, the text in both the Post Editor and the front are supposed to display the same. Since you are just starting out, perhaps you would like to explore a different theme?

i have tried like 30 or 40 themes, non of them use block quote.
check my account history for the past 48 hours.if you went to any forum in the whole world or superuser or stackoverflow or even here you will find this gray square
why?

@abdorefky If you are not finding what you want here on WordPressdotcom, you can have total control over how your site appears and behaves if you host your own standalone install of the free WordPress software. That will give you the greatest flexibility.

yah . i have just got my domain . and learning about how to host it .
i have downloaded the Ryu Theme, and i am going to edit the block quote
and use it there.thanks for your help.
