Block subscriptions to my blog

I would like to keep specific people from subscribing to my blog updates via email. Is there any way to do this? I do know the email address of the person who subscribed. I used to have the “subscribe” widget on my blog, but I removed it. However, I discovered that those who subscribed prior to me removing it are still getting email updates because they remained subscribed.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, there isn’t. Even if you could, they would still be able to subscribe to your RSS Feed. And even if you set your blog as private, they would continue to receive the updates because they are subscribed already.

Any reason why you want to prevent certain people from subscribing?

You have complete control over comment moderation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderation If your blog is public others can, of course, read the posts and pages in it unless they are password protected. They can submit comments but you can Moderate all comments and choose which ones to approve or not.

Also note on this page > Settings > Discussion you have the ability to comment blacklist. This will send all comments from that individual directly into your spam queue. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist But be cautious about using it as ISPs place hundreds of us in the same IP to save money, so you could end up affecting more than a single person.

Lastly, note that you can disable the “follow” button that appears to logged out users. Go to your Dashboard > Click on Settings > then Reading, then > Email.
