Blocked commenter

  I have just, for the first time, blocked a person from commenting, by placing his name in the appropriate box. Do I still get notification if he tries to comment, or is he barred without my knowing? Any help, please?
  (The reason for this question is that I would like to know if he ‘sees the error of his ways’ and can therefore be re-admitted, as it were!) Thanks.

  He isn’t actually “barred.” What happens is the person’s comments will automatically be held in the moderation queue, which means you should get notification if you have your settings that way at settings > discussion.
