blocked from commenting on wordpress sites

    I run an economics blog and have been active in posting on other economics blogs. I can no longer comment on wordpress blogs using my real name, “vince cate” nor can I link to my own blog. If I attempt to do these my comment does not get posted.

    What can I do to change this?

    I have the same problem with http://nopensionwilltravel.wordpress.com/

    I contacted akismet using the form, and within 24 hours, got a reply saying “Hi, Sorry for that – I believe it is fixed for you now.”

    However, nothing has changed. I’ve replied to akismet telling them it doesn’t appear fixed, but so far nothing new.

    I’ve seen a lot of people reporting similar problems recently. I think mine started about 3 weeks ago, and I’m wondering if akismet has a systemic problem. It’s pretty disappointing when something like this can happen so easily, and be so hard to discover and undo.
