Blocked from my site – IP address is not mine
-
I have been blocked from my website. I had entered the incorrect password multiple times, before logging into my website. I then installed Jetpack. After logging out, I have been blocked (however the IP address being given is not mine!). This is very frustrating.
I have tried clicking the link to have an email sent to me. I receive the email to log into the site, but the link returns this error:
{‘error’:’Bad Request’,’message’:’Invalid input.’}
I think this is because the IP address given is not mine.
Please unblock me!

Hi there,
Looks like you’re referring to a site that is not hosted by us (WordPress.com), therefore, you need to contact your hosting provider regarding your login issue.
We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us. For help with a self-hosted WordPress site you need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/
If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the self-hosted WordPress.org you can read this article:

Hi gtg1000,
I’ve removed the incorrect site URL from this this thread. What is the correct URL for the site you need help with?
If you manually installed Jetpack, it sounds like your site may have been created with self hosted WordPress.org software instead of WordPress.com. If that’s the case, please contact your host or post to the WordPress.org support forums for advice.
I can check where the site is hosted if you aren’t sure.

Hi Gemma,
Thanks for removing the URL.
I’ve now resolved the issue. It was a Jetpack related issue, and was mistakenly posted on the wordpress.com support rather than Jetpack support.
I removed Jetpack manually and now have access to the correct URL.
Thanks for your help!
