Blocked Invite Emails

The site is private. pommy11 has accepted my invitation to view and has for many months been receiving an email when new posts are added. I now want to give her permission to be an author but when I sent out the invitation letter I get message “invitation not sent, the user has blocked invite emails.
Her name in the invite new users list , under Actions, shows accepted.
Her name also appears in the readers list. I have checked all the queries on this forum and carried out the suggestions made:
I checked her word press account and under settings/ subscription delivery the instant email delivery button is enabled, the format is HTML. Block emails is unticked. The only blogs she follows is this one.Help I am still not getting the invite sent after several days of trying. She is using Internet Explorer – can this application block the invitation from WordPress?

It sounds like you have done all the checking that I would have thought of, so I will flag this for staff attention. They will probably need to know the email address and wordpress account for “pommy11”. I assume the blog you are trying to grant her access to is ladiesgolfdotme.wordpress.com .

Here are the instructions you can share with users who want to unblock invite emails:
On https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ enter the email address used on WordPress.com and click on “Request details”.
You will receive an email titled “[Subscribe] Your Subscription Details” containing a link looking like this: https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?key=a111b222&email=wp%wp.com.
Copy that link in your browser address and add &unsub_invites&option=cancel at the end.
You should get a line that looks like https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?key=a111b222&email=wp%wp.com&unsub_invites&option=cancel — click enter to load it.
A confirmation message will appear: “You will now receive invite emails again at [email redacted]. To stop receiving them, click here”.Once this is done, the user will be able to receive invite emails again.

Yes the access is to ladiesgolfdotme.wordpress.com . I tried again this morning but the same message keeps coming up -

Yes POMMY11 has followed these instructions and only gets into the subscription page. See below from one of your other users
“I apologize for the inconvenience. I realize that it’s currently easy to block invite emails, but not straightforward to undo this action. We are looking into improving this.
I hope this helps — let me know if you have any more questions about this. “

I just want to review the instructions to unblock invite emails:
- At https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ enter the email address used on WordPress.com and click on “Request details.”
- You will receive an email titled “[Subscribe] Your Subscription Details” containing a link looking like this: https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?key=a111b222&email=wp%wp.com. Don’t click that link — just copy it.
- Paste the link in your browser’s address bar and add &unsub_invites&option=cancel at the end.
- You should end up with a line in your browser’s address bar that looks like https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?key=a111b222&email=wp%wp.com&unsub_invites&option=cancel — click enter to load it.
- A confirmation message will appear: “You will now receive invite emails again at (email visible only to moderators and staff). To stop receiving them, click here.”
Once this is done, you will be able to receive invite emails again.
