Blocked invite emails

When I try to invite a use, I am getting a message that the invite has not been set because the user has blocked invite emails. I know the user and have logged in using his details and checked his settings and he is not blocking email invitations.
Please advise.

If they’re currently blocking emails they’ll need to change that from their account settings before you can invite them at:

BTW, the site is not mummysmove.wordpress.com. It is mummyscircle.wordpress.com

That is the email address for your
1949mikehaccount. You said you are trying to invite a user to your site. Who is that user?mummyscircle.wordpress.com is also not your site, so you won’t be able to invite anyone to that site. The only site you own, and to which you will be able to invite anyone, is http://mummysmove.wordpress.com/
Do you instead mean the owner of the other site,
mummyscircle, is trying to invite you? -
If it’s
mummyscircletrying to invite you to the mummyscircle.wordpress.com site, you are already a viewer on that site. If you weren’t, you wouldn’t be able to see that site in your browser.If
mummyscircleis trying to change your user role from being a viewer to being a contributor on the site, that user will have to contact us to help with that. -

I can see you sent an invitation to @1949mikeh six days ago, but then cancelled it again. That invitation sent successfully, but you cancelled it just fifteen minutes after sending it.
Please go to My Site ->People ->Add and send a new invitation to the username
1949mikeh. If you get an error, please don’t do anything else and reply here to let me know. -
Tried to send invite but got User Blocked invites and could not send.

Thanks for the screenshots, they are a great help. This is happening because 1949mikeh previously blocked WordPress.com from receiving invite emails (which is different from receiving notifications when a new post is published).
@1949mikeh — please follow these steps to unblock invite emails:- Go to https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ enter the email address used on WordPress.com and click on “Request details” — they to be logged out to see the box.
- You will receive an email titled “[Subscribe] Your Subscription Details” containing a link looking like this: https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?key=a111b222&email=wp%wp.com.
- Copy that link in your browser address and add &unsub_invites&option=cancel at the end.
- You should get a line that looks like this:https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?key=a111b222&email=wp%wp.com&unsub_invites&option=cancel — click enter to load it.
- A confirmation message will appear: “You will now receive invite emails again at (email visible only to moderators and staff). To stop receiving them, click here”.
That should do the trick and give @mummyscircle the ability to invite you.

When I tried to send an invite, I got the message that @1949mikeh was already a member but there was no listing in team members. There was a listing in Viewers. Somehow (I have no idea what I did) I managed to get a successful invitation sent and accepted as an author.
I believe things are sorted out. Thank you for your assistance.
