Blocking gmail spam

    I get regular spam comments from people with random lettered gmail accounts, eg (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    I could block commentors using gmail accounts, but some of my legitimate followers use gmail accounts. In the past blocking gmail spam has blocked these followers aswell meaning their comments disappear without even appearing in my spam folder.

    It’s not a big deal deleting these comments, but if there was a way of ‘whitelisting’ legit gmail account holders I could then block the unwanted gmail spam. Is whitelisting possible?
