Blocking IP address

    I recently added the Stat Counter to my site and discovered someone I know who is reading my blog that I would prefer didn’t. As I have their IP address, is there any way I can block them from my site?

    Hi there! Even if you block their IP address, there are still many other ways for them to read your site. Plus, with the way that ISPs work, blocking that IP address will mean blocking anyone coming from their ISP. And those IP addresses change frequently.

    If you’re concerned about the public having access to your site, you can make it private. Otherwise, there’s no way to restrict access to a public site.
