blocking links
-
I’m wondering how I can block people from linking to my blog if I don’t want it linked. How could I block just one link that I can see on the stats page? I don’t want all links to my blog blocked, just one. Any help?

Anyone can link to your blog’s url unless you set the blog to be “private”. If the blog is private then the url will not be made available except to those that you choose to give it too. No one can see your stats without you making them users of your blog who you have given roles/admin functions on your blog.

ok, it explains a bit more. I didn’t want to have to have a passworded site, I was just unhappy to see my blog being linked on a site without my permission in a derogatory way. It was just this one site I wanted blocked, so I guess I’ll just endure it till it dies down. Thanks for the help!

There is absolutely no way to stop people from linking to you or saying derogatory things about you online; think of it as analagous to trying to stop people from pointing at you and saying derogatory things about you in real life. How could you do that? The best way to deal with it is generally to take the high road and prove those derogatory statements wrong.

Good point, thanks! I just figured if there was a way to do it, fine, if not, I’ll weather it. Thanks for your help.
