Blocking Semalt.com from statistics
-
As with a few other users, I’ve been having ridiculous numbers of hits (50-150 per day) from Semalt.com, specifically ‘http://semalt.com/competitors_review.php?u=http://gabrielquotes.org.uk’ (the last bit is my blog’s URL).
Is there a way to block or exclude referrers from my statistics? It’s making it impossible to get an accurate idea of how many hits I’m getting.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Referrer spam issues are not usually discussed on public forums as posting them here simply promotes them. Everyone who is on the internet can access this public forum and that includes spammers too.
What Staff need is the URL and here’s the way to send it to them. Email support@wordpress.com

I don’t see how spammers would benefit from this being a public forum.
I’m just asking whether it’s possible to exclude spammy referrers from my statistics. Does anyone know the answer?

Spam sites like most any web site like referral links so even getting in a support forum counts as a link

That site has already been reported to us, and we have taken measures so that it should not appear in the future.
