  I hate them! its impossible to add one without it going inside another block then all hell breaks lose

  Hi there,

  You can click on the add button (+) on the top or after each block to insert a new block.

  

  Are you still not able to properly insert an individual block?

  Ah yes you can indeed but it inserts it inside another block because one cannot identify where the cursor is.

  Worse – once this has happened its impossible to delete it properly and picture appear in odd places when you view the site.

  Once a mistake as been made the only solution is to delete the whole post and start again.

  And where does the block go if you click a new block on the top menu? who knows?

  That hasn’t been my experience, but I’m wondering if we can figure out what’s happening there on your end.

  Are you on a desktop, laptop, or mobile device when this is happening? Which kind? And, which browser are you using, or are you using an app?

  I’ll try

  OK I make a post of pics in a simple one column

  In Preview it shows this in 2 columns – why?

  If I publish it and look in ‘view website’ it makes one of the smaller pics come up huge?

  Back in editing I delete these and start again a few steps back.

  I want to put a pic in between two others.
  I click cursor between first 2 pics, but it selects either the block above or the one below, so if I then click on + a new block appears inside the block above or below i.e. in the wrong place!

  I’m on mac desktop in chrome.

  It seems if you just add text on pictures one after the other using the + that appears under the last block it works, (as fstat above suggests) but if you want a combination of types of block or you want to move things around it doesn’t work.

  I’m used to the intuitiveness of indesign, illustrator and photoshop and this feels so different but pre ‘blocks’ I got on fine with wordpress

  I see that you have several sites under your account. Can you provide us with a post or page to one of your sites where this issue is occurring? I want to see if we see what you are describing on our end, and if we do, replicate it.
