I tried to move a WordPress-based site from an old server to a new one.
On the old server, WordPress is installed in
/var/www/html/corp/web (for the blog)
/var/www/html/corp/web/wordpress (for WordPress files, e.g. wp-config.php, wp-admin directory)
The admin site is accessible via: http://www.oldhost.com/wordpress/wp-login.php
The blog is accessible via: http://www.oldhost.com/blogThe part that I don’t understand is that there is no /blog directory in the WP installation directory. However, the blog is indeed accessible from http://www.oldhost.com/blog
Please… please help…

Does the blog always point to the WP installation directory? One more thing, is the /blog directory created by WP automatically (on-the-fly)?

You are asking in the forums for wordpress.com hosted blogs. You need to be asking in the wordpress.org forums at:
We don’t handle blogs that are not hosted with wordpress.com
