  Hello. I have a blog on wordpress that I do not pay for. Is there a way to add the words Read More , then when they click on that button the information is there or can you only do that if you pay for a website?? Thanks!

  Hi there, do you mean to you want to show only a small part of your post on your site’s front page and then readers will need to click through to read the rest? If so, the “More” tag should work https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/2/

  You can also shorten your blog posts page globally as the theme you are using Hemingway Rewritten also gives you the option of displaying an excerpt on your blog page. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/content-options/

  You can change this setting by opening the Customizer and then “Content Options.” There at the top you’ll see

  Blog Display Choose between a full post or an excerpt for the blog and archive pages.
  Full post
  Post excerpt

  Select “Post Excerpt” and Publish your changes and all your posts will be shortened automatically ending with a link for readers to click on to “continue reading” the full post.
