    I had a word press blog since 2017 but lost my Godaddy domain earlier this year. I’ve recently got the domain back. When I look at my account now, it looks like I have to begin a new site. Is there anyway to recover the blog that I created before?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there!

    It sounds like your site was hosted by GoDaddy, not WordPress.com. That’s why you see an empty site. Please contact GoDaddy support to see if they have a backup of your site on their servers. If they do, you can transfer the content over to WordPress.com from your old site that was with GoDaddy.

    We have instructions for migrating a site to WordPress.com from another host like GoDaddy. Please check with GoDaddy and let us know if you’re able to access the previous site.
