  I recently changed my blog name from gglewinsmith to georgelewinsmith and consequently transferred my page to the new page. I don’t know why but I cannot access the blog from a search engine such as google from a search. If I search ‘the Godless globe’ or georgelewinsmith no working page comes up and when I search gglewinsmith the old page is there except its deleted… Why is the new page un findable??

  That’s normal as your site was only created recently. Search engines like Google and Bing take upto 4-6 weeks to add new sites to their indexes. So your site will be added eventually to Google search index and will become searchable.

  Connecting a Google account with verified site ownership through Google’s webmaster tools may help register your site with Google quicker. Here are the instructions on how to verify your new site with Google: https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

  Thanks for your reply. I’ve verified my site now but it shows my site being gglewinsmith rather than georgelewinsmith here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/georgelewinsmith

  Is there anything i can do?

  Could you go to Account Settings screen at https://wordpress.com/me/account

  Change the Primary Site.

  Scroll down the page and click on Save Account Settings.

  Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
