  I am changing the concept of my blog and would therefore like to change the address. I keep getting an alert that the address I want to use, thedancejourney.wordpress.com, has already been used but when I go to that address, it says the site has been deleted. Is there anyway I can get this address? I’ve already claimed the name ‘TheDanceJourney’ on Instagram and need my blog address to match it so it can be easily found by readers. Please help.

  Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
