  I wanted to have my address the same as my title, but it says that “thebrassrag.wordpress.com is unavailable. I looked up the blog and it has been deleted by the owner. If that is so, why can’t I use it?

  The support documentation clearly states no dleted blog URLs are recycled and why that is http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  As you are new here are helpful links:
  On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/ The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page. Note the searchbox there provides results from the docum,ents and from foum threads too.
