Blog address

    I am looking to change the web address for my blog, but both of the names I was hoping for are taken (my creativity isn’t hurt, they were just variations of my name) Here’s the thing though: neither of the owners have blogged in four-five years.. Is there a way to get ownership of this domain at all?

    The only way is to try contacting the owners of those blogs via a comment or if they have contact details/a contact form posted and asking whether they’d be willing to transfer the blogs to you. It’s a long shot as they might not be monitoring comments anymore, or might not even have comments enabled. But that’s the only way. Staff will not transfer ownership of a blog to you, no matter how long that blog has been inactive, nor will they provide you with contact details for the owner.

    Your other option is of course to see if a custom domain is available with the name you want, but that implies a financial commitment you might not want to make.
