Blog address change
-
I have a WordPress.com blog and I recently decided to change the name of my blog. I changed the blog address as well (from vanessahwood.wordpress.com to greenacresmeetsparis.wordpress.com) and now I have two sites, which is confusing for me. The greenacresmeetsparis.wordpress.com site links to my blog just fine; however, the other site (vanessahwood.wordpress.com) links to my blog and says ‘Nothing Found’. Because WordPress.com doesn’t allow for the 301 redirect, my question is this: Should I redirect one of these sites? Or can I delete the greenacresmeetsparis.wordpress.com blog and revert everything back to the original blog address?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You were wanting all of your content that was on vanessahwood.wordpress.com now on greenacresmeetsparis.wordpress.com, correct? If so, and if greenacresmeetsparis.wordpress.com looks fine, I would just set vanessahwood.wordpress.com to private so that visitors will only see the former site. We have had some issues come up when users change their site name, but you should be good to go assuming that all the content that you had on your old site is now on your new site.
Let me know if you have any questions or issues. Thanks!

how do I set vanessahwood.wordpress.com to private? Right now if you were to go to vanessahwood.wordpress.com you’d find a page that said “nothing found”.
Any help is appreciated. -
Hi there,
The page says nothing found because you haven’t added content to the site yet.
To set site to private, from WP Admin, click on Settings → Reading, and scroll to the Site Visibility options. There you have the option to set the site to private. Choose that and save.
For instructions on how to set your site to private, please visit our support page:

Thanks!
