blog address conflicts

  I want to use a blog address, but it says someone else already has it. However, when I looked it up, it said the authors deleted this blog. Shouldn’t I be able to use this address now?

  Please note that deleted blog URLs are not recycled.

  You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain vis a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
