Blog Address Deleted, but Can't Recycle it for New Blog
-
I deleted a blog and created a new one, and a week later the former’s address is still unavailable when I try to use it. I am sure it hasn’t been snatched up by another user, as the address is a word I made up, and a culture-specific one too.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
When you delete a site you are permanently removing it and you will not be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (for example yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).
In the future if you do not want to permanently remove the site you have these options:
- Change your site’s address and keep your content
- Delete old posts and continue using the same address
- Empty your site of all its content for a fresh start and continue using the same address
- Transfer your site to someone else
- Make your site private so only people you invite can see it
All the best!
