Blog address error.
-
Hi there. For some bizarre reason WordPress created two larryvdp.wordpress.com blogs when I meant to create just one. Any user viewing my blog at that address received a ‘404 page does not exist error’. When I deleted one of the blogs via the dashboard>tools section it allowed me to keep editing the other (great!), but now when I or friends try to look at the remaining larryvdp.wordpress.com blog it says “larryvdp.wordpress.com is no longer available.” I really want to keep the larryvdp.wordpress.com link because it links well with my other online identities. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

EDIT – the blog I need help with is NOT larryold.wordpress.com (that was what I tried renamining one of the duplicates to prior to deleting it) but larryvdp.wordpress.com

I see two sites under this account:
laurencevdp.wordpress.com and
larrvdp.wordpress.comDid you have duplicate blogs at larrvdp.wordpress.com and then delete one? If so, is the issue resolved now for you?

I am not the person who submitted the question you answered, but I have a similar problem I think.
I created a website for a client last year using an email address that she no longer has. She went with another site and needs this one deleted. I tried to access the site using the username and password I created for her and username works, but not the password. I have a WordPress account and am upgrading my site, mcdonoughink.com. Can I delete her site using my account? If so, how? If not, what can be done? This site is diverting potential clients away from her official one.
I would appreciate a reply asap. Thanks a lot. -
Hi,
It’s still molly0. Some information that might be helpful:
Site address I set up: kidzengineering101.org
User Name: [redacted]
Password: [redacted]
Non-functioning email: (email visible only to moderators and staff) -
Hi Jackiedana, unfortunately the problem is not resolved.
Even though I can post updates to larryvdp.wordpress.com, when third parties try to bring up this address they are told it does not exist. If I logout the same occurs.
The laurencevdp.wordpress.com blog was created as a next-best-option solution.

@larrvdp In digging into this further… it looks like you used the blog rename tool to change the blog larrvdp.wordpress.com to laurencevdp.wordpress.com, and the blog at larrvdp.wordpress.com was deleted in the process.
@molly0 the domain kidzengineering101.org is not currently registered. While it was registered with us, it has expired, and when it was last being used it was pointing to a site hosted elsewhere. I’m afraid there may not be much more we can do to help you.
