Blog address not showing as active

I am trying to point my godaddy domain to my wordpress account. However when we try to do that or to verify on google, it says it’s not active or recognized. Help!

What is the GoDaddy domain? Note that avanslam.wordpress.com has been deleted, so you can use the GoDaddy domain with that one.

I own amyvanslambrook.com through GoDaddy, have pointed that to my wordpress site, and have attempted to update my wordpress to point to amyvanslambrook.wordpress.com. However it’s still displaying “Not found” when I type either address in the search bar. Any suggestions?

Currently when someone visits amyvanslambrook.com they are redirected to amyvanslambrook.wordpress.com and that’s what appears in the address bar. If you only want amyvanslambrook.com to show in the address bar, you’ll want to set up domain mapping. Here’s the guide for that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
As to the “not found” issue, your site doesn’t appear to have any content other than your picture on the About page. If you’re not sure how to add content, here’s a great place to get up to speed: https://learn.wordpress.com/
